At DAS, we are committed to doing the right thing for our customers, employees, community and environment. We constantly strive to develop and improve our CSR programme, and pride ourselves on being a responsible business.
People are at the heart of DAS, and we work hard to create a great place to work. We prioritise the health and wellbeing of our people by offering discounted gym memberships and a range of wellbeing tips and advice.
Here at DAS, we believe passionately in the value of high-quality training and development for our people. In order to truly be First For Justice, we understand that we need to support our people to enable them to perform their best. We therefore provide accessible learning and development opportunities, and promote internal progression.
Our people
Community means a lot to us. We believe that all businesses have a responsibility to ‘give back’ to the community that they operate in. We therefore get involved as much as we can! Our employees support a local primary school each week with their reading scheme, and we encourage employees to use their annual ‘Volunteering Day’ which can be used alongside their annual leave allowance to spend time helping a charity or community project that is important to them.
Our active Charity Forum is in place to oversee regular donations to a range of different charities via the DAS Monthly Pot. We also support two main employee-nominated charities each year as part of our biannual charity programme.
Our charity donations topped
We’re proud to announce that in the second half of 2023, we raised a fantastic £4,209.77 for The Green House, a charity dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families who have experienced sexual abuse.
Our fundraising efforts included a popular raffle, which boasted some great prizes. This event alone brought in a significant sum of £657.42! A few weeks later, we hosted a spooky Halloween celebration with a Halloween Fancy Dress and Bake-off Bake Sale. It was a delight to see the incredible baking talents of our DAS employees! This event contributed a substantial £418.60 to the cause.
Finally, The Green House provided a personalised Amazon Wishlist for DAS employees. This Wishlist offered a convenient way for employees to choose specific items needed by the charity, which were then shipped directly to them.
A note from The Green House:
To the Team at DAS, we couldn’t be more grateful for your kind donation and fundraising efforts – it means so much to us and the children and families we support. Your donation will mean that children can access support from our service that will help them reconnect with themselves, their families and those who love them after experiences of sexual abuse. Your funding will allow us to deliver an additional 5 Support Circle Sessions to 25 young people. This will connect them to a community of peers without fear of judgement or shame in a safe, anonymous way – it will help them take that first step into essential care services, breaking the social isolation that often follows experiences of sexual abuse. We couldn’t be more grateful…many, many thanks. The Green House Team

Doing the right thing for the environment is extremely important to us. DAS has a well-established environmental programme, which has helped to raise awareness of environmental issues and reduce our carbon footprint.
We focus on three key areas – transport, energy and waste – and are proud to be 100% carbon neutral.
All our people receive annual training on our environmental requirements through one of our mandatory learning modules, and we have an active Sustainability Forum in place to raise awareness, encourage action and ultimately reduce our negative impact upon the environment.
Environmental Policy
In support of the principle of sustainable development as well as our own RIGHT company values, we aim to achieve environmental best practice throughout our operations wherever possible.
Our people are among the best in the industry; see what we have to offer to you.
